I was glancing at the route map of CCT in the 1974 commemorative brochure and couldn't help pondering on the fact that of the 20 odd large factories served by CCT only a couple remain in some form or other and that there are more surviving buses from the concern that ferried thousands of workers daily to some of the iconic names in the industrial history of this city than those names themselves. One thing is for sure - the city has changed so massively since 74 and it is good the remaining CCT vehicles are reminders of the link to the disappearing past. Makes one wonder what "ordinary people" do for a living now..... Doubt many use a bus to get to work...!

Strange you should ask that. I long wondered what the girl living next door to me did for a living? I guessed from the way she was dressed it had something to do with the travel industry. Turns out she works for Travel West Midlands! She's very proud of her job and her uniform.
