Living close by at the time, I did see 303 RW almost daily, it was a sad sight, I like to remember it like this;

hi there doing model maintanance bus the cvg6 birmingham front in red was reg 167 allso i remember 303rw at the back off harnall lane mid of yard last bus out it went to astonmanner for spares the bus was cut up on storage yard next door was caravan sits went thay went back pickup the parts all was go the bus withdrawn because crackchaisse at back by the springs could have easy bin repair in the 80s i remember 330cvg at the back of yard for spares for 3 cvg this was last of psv backloader to go allso 327 cvg was at mid of yard by tree lopper cvg the seats and light was takeing out for the 333cvg look at the 329cvg at liverpool st i know it was engineless bit looking inside of it from the pic it look like the 327cvg allso the 329 cvg engine was taken out at harnall lane did this engine go in to the 239 because it had crackblock at the time thank clint redbus

IN MARCH 1997, FITTER BILL MARSHALL AND MYSELF REBUILT THE ENGINE AT De'COURCEYS FOR 239. A LOT OF THE ALUMINIUM PARTS HAD BEEN STOLEN. WE OBTAINED REPLACEMENTS FROM SHARMANS SCRAP YARD.THE ENGINE IS THE ORIGINAL ONE AS FITTED ON ITS LAST OVERHAUL AT CCT.
